The Lion and the Mouse

Once upon a time, in a dense forest, lived a mighty lion. One hot afternoon, after a hearty meal, the lion was sleeping soundly under a large tree.

A little mouse, while scurrying about, accidentally ran over the lion's nose. The lion woke up with a start, roared loudly, and placed his giant paw over the tiny mouse, ready to crush it.

The terrified mouse pleaded, "Oh, King of the Jungle, please spare my life! I did not mean to disturb you. If you let me go, I promise I will never forget your kindness and may someday repay you."

The lion was amused by the mouse's plea. He thought, "How could such a small creature ever help me?" But seeing the mouse's fear and sincerity, he decided to be magnanimous. With a laugh, he lifted his paw and let the mouse go.

A few days later, the lion was caught in a hunter's net. He struggled and roared, but the ropes were too strong. His roars echoed through the forest, but no one could help him.

The little mouse, hearing the familiar roar, recognized the lion's voice. Remembering the lion's mercy, he quickly ran to the spot. Seeing the lion trapped, the mouse immediately began to gnaw at the thick ropes with his sharp teeth.

One by one, the ropes snapped, and soon, the lion was free. The lion looked at the tiny mouse with gratitude and respect. He realized that even the smallest creature could be a great friend and helper.

From that day on, the lion and the mouse became good friends, and the lion learned a valuable lesson: Kindness is never wasted, and even the smallest friend can be the greatest ally.

शेर और चूहे की कहानी

एक बार की बात है, एक घना जंगल था। उस जंगल में एक विशाल और शक्तिशाली शेर रहता था। एक दोपहर, शेर एक पेड़ के नीचे सो रहा था।

तभी, एक छोटा सा चूहा वहाँ आया और खेल-खेल में शेर के ऊपर कूदने लगा। चूहे की हरकतों से शेर की नींद खुल गई। वह बहुत गुस्सा हुआ और उसने अपने पंजे में चूहे को पकड़ लिया।

शेर चूहे को खाने ही वाला था कि चूहा गिड़गिड़ाने लगा। उसने शेर से माफ़ी मांगी और कहा, "हे जंगल के राजा! कृपया मुझे छोड़ दो। मैं वादा करता हूँ कि यदि आप मुझे आज छोड़ देते हैं, तो मैं आपकी मदद करने का मौका कभी नहीं भूलूँगा।"

शेर चूहे की इस बात पर हँस पड़ा। उसे यह सोचकर हैरानी हुई कि इतना छोटा सा जीव उसकी मदद कैसे कर सकता है। फिर भी, शेर को चूहे पर दया आ गई और उसने उसे आज़ाद कर दिया।

कुछ दिनों बाद, शेर जंगल में शिकार कर रहा था कि वह एक शिकारी के जाल में फंस गया। शेर ने जाल से निकलने की बहुत कोशिश की, लेकिन वह निकल नहीं पाया। उसने ज़ोर-ज़ोर से दहाड़ना शुरू कर दिया।

शेर की दहाड़ सुनकर वही चूहा वहाँ आया। उसने जाल को देखा और तुरंत समझ गया कि क्या हुआ है। बिना समय गंवाए, चूहे ने अपने तेज़ दांतों से जाल को कुतरना शुरू कर दिया। देखते ही देखते, उसने जाल के धागों को काट दिया और शेर को आज़ाद कर दिया।

शेर ने चूहे का दिल से धन्यवाद किया। उसे अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ कि उसने कभी चूहे की मदद को कम समझा था।
